Hi guys. So, I have been giving this day cream a whirl for two weeks now and I wanted to tell you about it because I love love love it!

I don’t have any other anti-aging products in my beauty routine right now. At 35, I have some fine lines going on around my mouth and forehead. I can totally see the firming aspects of this day cream in my face. It contains organic pomegranate seed oil and golden millet which “help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and help support the skin’s natural renewal process.”

One of my other fussy points about face cream is what will happen to my makeup after applying it. This product says it acts as a great base for makeup and IT DOES! Hallejulah! Although it has a thick and almost greasy feel at first, it absorbs quickly and does not leave an oily residue at all. A little goes a long way. That being said, I have more mature skin. If you are in your 20’s this product might be too heavy for you.

It smells delicious. A lot of the Weleda products have an almost medicinal smell. This face cream reminds me of a cold cream scent, heavy and rich with a very light and juicy note. It literally smells like it’s going to be “good for you”, you know? It dries down with little to no scent.

One drawback with the packaging is the metal tube. These metal tubes can sometimes crack if you are not careful with them. However, I assume it is recyclable which is a major WIN so I can live with it and be a little more careful I guess. Haha!

Can I just say how much I love this brand? Wow, talk about beauty and ethics coming together in one magical company. They are certified by Natrue, a rigorous score for organics in beauty products, they almost always use 100% certified natural raw materials cultivated from Biodynamic farms and of course never test on our furry friends.

Weleda is available at most health food stores, Whole Foods, London Drugs out west, Well.ca and more.
