I thought I’d take a moment to tell you about some new products I’ve been trying out and really enjoying!
1. Tangle Teezer
This incredible little hairbrush has been saving my damaged locks from breaking off and dying many miserable deaths. The teeth act as a great head massage and the fact that it is all one piece makes it very durable and easy to clean. It has a lovely design for an ergonomic anti-slip grip and works on wet or dry hair. The only thing you don’t want to do with this guy is use it with heat tools. I am not the first one to fall in love with this hair brush. Many people before me have sung the Tangle Teezer’s praises and now I see why it is an award-winning item. I got mine at Urban Outfitter’s for $16.00.
2. Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
Oh, man. I am a big fan of this new cult favorite. Although it didn’t come out that long ago, the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer has jumped to the head of the pack for some glamazons and makeup junkies and I get why!
Besides having two great shades ( I have the lighter one called “Light Bronzer”), IT SMELLS AMAZING! It smells like a beach holiday, like a pina colada, like coconut sunscreen and pineapple dreams and not in a faint way, in a hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-coconut kinda’ way. Your whole bathroom will smell tropical therefore, if this type of scent is not your bag, skip this product altogether. If you are a tropical momma like me, you’re going to love this stuff. It blends beautifully, is not heavy and comes with a mirror and weird-but-cool sponge applicator. I just use my brushes at the moment, but I appreciate that it’s an all-in-one for travelling purposes. Looooooove the colourful packaging! I got mine at Shopper’s Drug Mart but you can find PF at Walmart and Rexall too. Wait for the sale, people!
3. Burt’s Bees *Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes
For those nights when you are just too knackered to wash your face, it is always a good idea to have facial cleansing wipes on-hand. At the very least you will remove the gritty city grime and guck before slumber. I have tried SO many of these things. They’re not cheap and they’re not all good, trust me.
I have had the best luck with these ones from Burt’s Bees. As you may know already, I have very sensitive skin, especially my eyes and eye area. I am very selective about what goes in and around my eyes or else I will look like a basset hound, and not in a cute way. The first 3 ingredients of these are water, aloe and glycerin. Beware anything that lists alcohol as one of the first ingredients. Although they are very gentle they do the trick of removing eye makeup, oil and residue. Big thumbs up! ( I got mine at Shopper’s Drug Mart but you can find them just about anywhere, I even saw them at Old Navy the other day.)
4. Weleda Age Defying Eye Cream
While we’re on the topic of my sensitive peepers, my beloved Weleda has not failed me again. I have been enjoying the Age Defying Day Cream for my face, so I thought I’d try the eye cream. It’s lovely! It boasts 89% organic, no parabens, no endocrine, no GMOs, obviously no animal testing, no artificial fragrance or preservatives. It truly has little to no scent and is feather-light. I put on a pearl-sized amount in the morning and at night. My eyes are happy! You can find Weleda at Whole Foods and Noah’s Natural Foods, or on Well.ca.
5. Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion
Since I am doing the pomegranate thing on my face, I figured I’d do it on my body too. This cream comes in a variety of scents, however, all of which are nice and provide different benefits. The bottle is a great design and the formula of the cream is very light, almost a whipped consistency. It is not greasy at all, so if you hate that feeling of greasing up after a shower then you might enjoy this as much as me. The scent is beautiful and rich, it smells like it’s good for you. Like vitamins or something but not in a medicinal way, in a light healthy way. Found at Whole Foods, Noah’s Natural Foods and We’ll.ca.
Well, that’s what’s going on in my bathroom these days. Hope you enjoyed the reviews and please feel free to comment or send me a message for more details or ideas!
