5 Valentine’s Day Ideas for Her

valentine

Whether you are with someone or flying solo, here are a few items I am loving that would make great gifts for wife, girlfriend, mom, or your fabulous self. Make Valentine’s Day about love: Loving and honouring yourself as much as your significant other. ❤

1. Weleda Jardin de Vie Parfumée

Weleda Perfume- Jardin de Vie

This perfume is just as beautiful as the bottle. It offers a sunny, bright and sweet scent, like Sweet Tarts candy but in a more botancial way. This refreshing and beautiful scent stems from essential oils of Sea Buckthorn and citrus. Weleda perfumes are 92% organic and completely fair-trade. I am swiftly addicted to spritzing myself down with this stuff several times a day. Gorgeous!

NOTE: Weleda perfumes come in four beautiful scents: wild rose, citrus (agrumes, pictured above), pomegranate (grenade) & evening primrose (onagre).. This would make a beautiful gift for you or your loved one. Find Weleda at Whole Foods, Noah’s Natural Foods, or on Well.ca.

2. Province Apothecary

While on the topic of perfume, Province Apothecary is without a doubt one of my fave smell-makers. These lovely little roller balls make exquisite gifts that can easily be packed or tossed in a purse. I am almost out of No.14, blending Wild Ylang Ylang, Indian Cardamom  and Frankincense Caterii. It is a deep and earthy scent that really gets in your nose and feels healing. The quality of these blends is incredible. I have a scarf that re-surfaced in my wardrobe from months ago that I had rolled No. 14 onto and it STILL smells gorgoeus!

NOTE FROM THE MAKERS: “Organic + wildcrafted essential oils in Organic Jojoba oil. Not all ingredients are listed to protect our perfume formulas. Our Parfums Botanique are hand blended + bottled in our Toronto studio. They are free of synthetic fragrances and chemicals, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, and GMOs. They are vegan, and 100 % natural.”

3. Caudalie Beauty Elixir

This beauty elixir makes a perfect gift for just about anyone. I use it as a refresher in the morning, as a makeup setting spray, on the beach to cool down, in the evening to relax, on a flight to hydrate my skin, after a hot yoga class, at the office to bring me back into the moment if I’m stressed out, you get the picture. Caudalie Beauty Elixir is inspired by Queen Izabelle of Hungary’s elixir of youth and helps smooth fine lines and tighten pores. Get this. Just do it. You will thank me later.

4. Weleda Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery

This is currently smeared all over my wounded finger after a wrestle with a partially frozen gluten-free english muffin and a bread knife. Sorry for the image. However, this little miracle-in-a-tube is anybody’s best friend during a Canadian winter. If you have dry skin or even severely dry, cracking skin, this will heal it. ( NOTE TO ATHLETES: I have been told that slathering your face with it before hitting the ski slopes or a winter’s run is a great healthy skin hack to save your face.)

5. Acure Moroccan Argan Oil – Rose Treatment

This is a new brand for me and I am OBSESSED!!! They say it is a skin super food, rich in vitamin E, essential fatty acids and proteins which combat fine lines, scars and stretch marks. Acure Moroccan Argan oil can be used on your face but also your hair! My locks are completely damaged and this stuff is so lovely and lightweight, yet totally nourishing. I love putting the lemongrass scented oil on my face at night and on my dried ends after styling my hair.

I think this would make a lovely gift for anyone year-round, but especially during this dry, cold season. Acure can be found at Whole Foods or on Well.ca.

I hope whatever you get up to this Valentine’s Day is beautiful and nourishing. Care for yourself in order to be the best version of you to give to others! XO

Love,

T
